FRESNO, Calif.- Fresno State women's basketball returns home to the Save Mart Center to host Long Beach State in the fifth non-conference game of the season.Â

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTÂ
- Long Beach State sits (2-1) going into Tuesday night's game, after coming off a 82-71 loss to Cal Baptist.Â
- Beach is under first-year head coach Amy Wright. Wright is the eighth head coach for Long Beach women's basketball.Â
- Long beach finished the 2022-23 campaign (23-9, 17-3), Beach was eliminated in the first round of NIT against San Diego (57-75)
- Long Beach State's Savannah Tucker, a Fresno native, has started the season strong for Long Beach. Recording 47 points through three games (15.7 avg) and scoring a career-high 25 points against Biola
- Long Beach has added two transfers: Lovely Sonnier (South Carolina State) who has started all three games and Cheyanne Givens (CSU Northridge).Â
SERIES HISTORYÂ
Fresno State and Long Beach State will meet for the 30th time on Tuesday and for the twelfth time at home. The 'Dogs trail the all-time meeting 10-19, and are 5-7 at the Save Mart Center. The last meeting between the teams was in Fresno, where the Bulldogs defeated Long Beach State 76-63 on Dec. 29, 2008. Fresno State leads the last four meetings between the two programs.Â
BULLDOG HIGHLIGHTSÂ
A trio of 'Dogs put up team high numbers in last week's games. Sophomore Mia Jacobs recorded a career-high 27 points vs. Pepperdine. Through three games Jacobs has a combined 46 points (15.3 avg.), the second most of the team.Â
Senior Deajanae Harvey made her first appearance as a Bulldog against CSU Bakersfield. Harvey recorded 15 points, six steals, two rebounds and a three-pointer with 25 minutes of play.Â
Junior Keely Brown was the second 'Dog to make an impact against CSU Bakersfield, recording 13 points, six rebounds, two 3-pointers and one block. Brown and Harvey were the only Bulldogs to put up double-digit scores against the Roadrunners.Â
