LAST WEEKEND'S HIGHLIGHT
Freshman Kennedy Bunker has a big weekend for the Bulldogs at the 2023 Judi Garman Classic. Bunker recorded a .455 average (5-for-11) with one extra-base hit and an RBI.
The Simi Valley, Calif. native started all five games at catcher for Fresno State.

The Bulldogs have had multiple freshmen in their starting lineup this season.
Kennedy Bunker has started all 17 games at catcher this season. Emma Martinez has earned her spot at second base, starting 15 games so far this season. Jamie Hicks has chalked 12 starts this season, primarily at first base for the Bulldogs. She has also seen time as the designated player. Hicks owns a .323 batting average this season.
Recently, Alyssa Rebolledo has chalked six starts in the outfield while making 14 total appearances.

Keahilele Mattson ranks within the Top 10 in the Mountain West in five categories. Mattson leads the MW in on base + slugging percentage (OPS) with a 1.230 average. She comes in at No. 3 in slugging percentage, No. 3 in walks, No. 4 in on base percentage, No. 8 in batting average.
Alesia Denby is also on the MW leader board in three categories. She ranks No. 2 in slugging percentage, No. 2 in home runs and No. 5 in RBIs.
