'Dogs host Pepperdine at the Aquatic Center and Dive heads to UCLA Invite

FRESNO, Calif.- Fresno State swim team is back at the aquatic center to host Pepperdine and dive to UCLA for diving invitational.

EVENT BREAKDOWN
Swimmers will see a two-day meet against the Waves starting off day 1 with a sprint session on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning will see the normal 12 event lineup.
In Los Angeles, the divers will start Friday off with the 1 meter spring board and a team event. Saturday will see the 3 meter springboard and Sunday will be the platform. Bulldogs will see a slew of teams at the UCLA Diving Invite, with a total of 14 other teams (UCLA, USC, Cal Baptist, U of M, Stanford, BYU, Hawaii, Utah, Wisconsin, Pepperdine and NAU,) among the 14 are three fellow Mountain West teams (UNLV, SDSU and SJSU.)

BULLDOG BONES
- Fresno State makes its return to the pool for the first time since early-November this week to host Pepperdine in a two-day meet on Friday and Saturday.
- In addition, the Bulldog divers will also return to the pool at the Bruin Diving Invitational hosted by UCLA.
- Fresno State is coming off a second place overall team finish with 612.2 points at San Diego's quad meet
- Kalmar sisters earned a set of event wins at San Diego; Laura Kalmar (1000 freestyle/ 500 freestyle) and Aliz Kalmar in the 200 breast.
- Aliz Kalmar earned 4th place high point finish with 717.1 points against San Diego State, LMU and Alaska Fairbanks this last weekend
- Grace Ally placed second in the 3 meter spring board with 264.83 at San Diego
- Last time the 'Dogs were home was early November when hosting FPU and UOP in a tri-meet, almost 70 days ago
- 'Dogs start their three meet homestand against Pepperdine this weekend, followed by CSU Bakersfield next Tuesday (1/16) and finally Senior Night against UC Davis on Saturday (1/20)

- Fresno State wraps up a quad meet in San Diego with San Diego State, LMU and Alaska Fairbanks
- Two Bulldogs saw a season best with Samarah Melia in the 200 freestyle (1:56.47) and Sera Hanagan in the 200 butterfly (2:04.56)
- Two Bulldogs also saw personal best with Madison Caserio in the 200 breaststroke (2:25.96) and Jenna Pulkkinen in the 100 freestyle (53.66)
- Grace Ally placed second in the 3 meter spring board
- Aliz Kalmar 200 Breast time of 2:12.11 is a 2024 NCAA 'B' Standard
