'Dogs fall 3-1 to MW-leading Rams

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Fresno State volleyball team faced a tough battle against the Colorado State Rams and fell 3-1 despite strong moments of play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Fresno State started the match with a service ace but struggled to build momentum as Colorado State went on an 8-0 run. Despite solid plays from Kasey Purry and Addison Haluska, the Bulldogs were unable to recover from early errors. The Rams took advantage of Fresno State's inconsistent attack, winning 25-16.
Fresno bounced back in the second set with strong offensive pressure, driven by Haluska's kills and an impressive performance from Brooke Cowie. The Bulldogs went on a 5-1 scoring run to establish a lead. Despite Colorado State's attempts to close the gap, Fresno held firm, sealing the set 25-20 to even the match.
The third set was dominated by Colorado State from the outset. The Bulldogs struggled to match the Rams' energy, with multiple attack errors preventing any sustained runs. The Rams cruised to a 25-11 victory.
The Bulldogs came out fighting in the fourth set, building an early lead. A tense back-and-forth ensued, with both teams trading points. Fresno State held a consistent lead throughout the match, but late errors allowed Colorado State to inch ahead, eventually winning 25-23 and securing the match 3-1.

- Brooke Cowie was the only Bulldog to earn a double-double in the match with 33 assists and a team-leading 12 digs.
- Addison Haluska was the only Bulldog with kills in the double digits, recording 17 against the Rams.
- Mya Sellers and Jenna Legault led the block category with three block assists each.
