FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State volleyball team is back on its home court with two matches in the Save Mart Center.

The Bulldogs will face UNLV on Thursday night in the Dig for a Cure match at 6 p.m. PT. Fans who wear pink will receive free admission. Saturday night will be the Bulldogs' Alumnae Day against San Diego State and fans who show their ticket for Fresno State Football's game against Washington State get to the match for free.

THE ALUMNAE FIT

The Bulldogs are celebrating the historic 1984 Fresno State volleyball team that made a run to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Championship tournament.
The uniforms include a white sleeveless top with "Fresno" written across the front in white block lettering over a red stripe and navy shorts.
The back of the jersey features the last names of letterwinners in the program surrounding each athlete's number with the Mountain West logo on the left and the Green V logo on the right.
The Bulldogs will wear these jerseys only once, on Saturday, October 12, as part of the Alumnae Day celebration.

KASE IS ON THE CASE

Kasey Purry was named Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week following her performance against Wyoming and conference leader Colorado State last week, the conference announced on Monday.
This is the second consecutive week that a Bulldog has been named MW Defensive Player of the Week with sophomore Dionii Fraga earning the title last week.
Kasey Purry was a brick wall for the Bulldogs this week with 11 total blocks out of the Bulldogs' team total of 18, including four solo blocks and seven assists.
The fifth-year senior totaled 14 kills this week and averaged 1.56 kills per set.
In addition, Purry also logged a service age and a dig.

WHY NOT YOU?

The Fresno State volleyball team has launched its "Why Not You?" campaign, allowing members of the Red Wave to support the team with three sponsorship packages to choose from.
In a historic run during the first season of the Rosen Era, a mantra of "Why not us?" became a public beacon for the Bulldogs. "Why not us?" was used to remind teammates and supporters alike that someone had to win… it might as well be the 'Dogs.
The success of the Bulldogs run in 2023 inspired the name "Why Not You?" to encourage the community to support the Fresno State Volleyball program.
