A. Kalmar claims second podium finish to close out Speedo Grand Challenge

IRVINE, Calif.- Aliz Kalmar claims her second podium finish of the weekend in the final day of the Speedo Grand Challenge.Â
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
Aliz Kalmar opened prelims on another strong note holding her No. 2 seed in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:30.84 to secure her spot in the championship final. A two second drop gave Kalmar her second podium finish of the weekend with a time of 2:28.44, good for second place.Â
Laura Kalmar qualified into Sunday afternoon's 800 freestyle championship final after a scratch from NOVA Aquatics. Kalmar improved her 10th place prelims finish (9:14.37) into the top nine. Another near nine second drop grabs her a 5th place finish with a time of 9:05.80.Â
