COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Coming off a shutout of Oregon State last week, Fresno State goalkeeper Ashton Conley was named Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Conley earned the start against the Beavers, the first minutes of her Bulldog career. The redshirt junior from Wichita, Kan., produced three saves, posting the team's third shutout of the year. In the final moments of the match, she came up with one of those saves, a diving stop to her left to preserve the win.
Conley is the second Bulldog to earn a conference weekly honor this season, joining freshman Sam Paepen.
