Fresno State chosen as preseason favorite in GCC poll

LOS ANGELES - The Fresno State water polo team was picked as the preseason favorite in the 2025 Golden Coast Conference preseason coaches' poll, announced by the conference office on Wednesday morning and voted upon by the league's eight head coaches.

The Bulldogs have won the last four GCC tournament titles, and three of the last four regular season titles.

The 2025 Fresno State water polo season gets started this weekend with the annual Polopalooza at the Aquatics Center. Some of the nation's top talent are set to compete at the event, kicking off with Fresno State facing Michigan on Friday at 5 p.m. PT.
