Bulldogs take fourth at MPSF open water championship

LONG BEACH, Calif. -Â The Fresno State swim team took fourth overall at the MPSF Open Water Championships at the historic Marine Stadium in Long Beach on Saturday afternoon. Laura Kalmar held the 'Dogs highest finish in the women's 5k taking 11th place.Â
How it happenedÂ
Bulldogs opened up the race with the 5k and the 2k relay to follow. Kalmar paced with the top-ten finishers of the event taking 11th in the 5k race with a time of 1:03.50.00. The senior placed the highest of the Bulldogs in the event with Clare Luken rounding out the top twenty. In the team relay event, the Bulldogs 'A' relay finished in the top five. The 'B' relay followed close behind taking seventh place. Fresno State finished fourth out of 17 teams.Â
