FRESNO, Calif.-Â The Fresno State swim and dive team return home to host Fresno Pacific Sunbirds and Cal State East Bay Pioneers in a tri-meet at the Fresno State Aquatic Center on Friday night at 6 p.m. PT.Â
Bulldog Bones
- Fresno State return to the Aquatic Center to host Fresno Pacific and Cal State East Bay in a tri-meetÂ
- Bulldogs are coming off a fourth place finish at the MPSF open water championships, where Laura Kalmar placed 11th in the women's 5k race
- Natalia Bedolla and Mackenzie Miller Lung were named MW Diver & Swimmer of the week on Oct. 13, marking the first pair of Bulldogs since 2022
- Miller Lung also hit an NCAA qualifier time in the 100 breaststroke at the Gary Ota Invitational and is the only Bulldog swimmer thus far
- Bedolla is the only diver to reach an NCAA zone qualificationÂ
- This season's roster features eight true freshman and three transfers
- 17 Bulldogs return from last seasons roster
Underclassmen strengthÂ
The underclassmen 'Dogs have been holding it down for the Bulldogs this season. Freshman Hayley Oke stood out among the freshmen earning 50.5 points in her first collegiate meet.Â
| Oke placed in the top-10 in eight events with six top-3 finishes, placing herself in the Mountain West's rankings, taking 18th in the 100 free and 5th in the MW in the 100 back and 100 butterfly. Also in her first collegiate meet, Presley McPhail earned three points for the 'Dogs. Sophomore Ryley Clark locked in 52 points with three top-10 finishes and a meet high third place finish in the 100 back. Clare Luken, transfer from South Carolina, grabbed 32 points with a second place finish in the 100 butterfly. |

MW Weekly HonorsÂ
- Fresno State's Mackenzie Miller Lung and Natalia Bedolla were named MW Swimmer & Diver of the week, respectively on Oct. 15
- Bedolla earned her second weekly conference honor of her career and first of the seasonÂ
- Miller Lung earned 70 points for the Bulldogs with three event wins (100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard medley relay).
- Miller Lung hit a NCAA qualification in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.44) which ranks as the third-fastest time in the country this season and is the third-fastest time in Mountain West history
- Miller Lung now holds the fastest time in the Mountain West in both the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststrokes this season
- Bedolla earned a zone qualification standard in the 1-meter by nearly nine points more than the qualification standard
- Bedolla won the 3-meter with a score of 279.45.
