'Dogs fall in three sets to Broncos

BOISE, Idaho – Fresno State put together stretches of strong play but came up short on the road, dropping a 3-0 decision (19-25, 21-25, 21-25) to Boise State on Thursday evening inside Bronco Gym.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Addison Haluska powered the Bulldog offense, finishing with a match-high 17 kills on an efficient .394 hitting percentage. She added a block assist for 17.5 points. Jenna Legault chipped in eight kills and a pair of blocks, while Peyton Bitter contributed six kills and two block assists.
Setters Gabby Lombardi and Keely Hummel combined for 32 assists, with Lombardi leading the way with 22. Defensively, Clara Garcia paced Fresno State with nine digs, and Olivia Lombardi added eight. At the net, the Bulldogs tallied five team blocks, led by Brooklyn Washington and Bitter who each had multiple block assists.
The 'Dogs battled in each frame, erasing deficits and forcing 12 ties across the night, but Boise State's balanced attack and timely runs secured the sweep.
Fresno State moves to 4-10 overall and 0-3 in Mountain West play. The Bulldogs continue conference action on the road this weekend.
