FRESNO, Calif. -- The Fresno State softball team will finish Mountain West play at Colorado State with a three-game series April 25-27 before finishing the regular season with a doubleheader at LMU on April 30.Â

LAST WEEK
Fresno State swept its series against New Mexico, capping off the weekend with a 9-3 victory on Senior Day. The Bulldogs rallied from an early 5-0 deficit to take the series opener 7-5, then followed up with a 6-4 win in game two before completing the sweep.
Serayah Neiss was dominant in the circle, going 3-0 against the Lobos. She pitched 12.2 innings, struck out 19 batters, and posted a 1.91 ERA over the series.
Taryn Irigoyen led the Bulldogs at the plate, hitting .455 with a team-high five hits and five RBIs. She matched her season high with three hits in game two.

MW PITCHER OF THE WEEK
 Junior Serayah Neiss was named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.Â
The Newberg, Ore. native led the Bulldogs to a series sweep over New Mexico, going 3-0 over the weekend. The sweep clinched a spot in the Mountain West CU1 Softball Championship. She totaled 12.2 innings, 19 strikeouts with a 1.92 ERA.Â
The left-hander tossed 4.1 innings with six strikeouts in game one, before setting a new season-high with eight strikeouts in 5.0 innings in game two. She finished off the series with five strikeouts in 3.1 innings.Â
This is Neiss' second weekly conference award of the season.Â

TOURNAMENT BOUND
With a sweep over New Mexico, Fresno State secured its spot in the Mountain West CU1 Softball Championship Tournament. The top six teams in the conference qualify for the tournament, with an NCAA Regional berth on the line.
Fresno State has qualified for the MW Championship Tournament every year since its inception in 2023.
