DeShawn Gory paced Fresno State with a double-double, scoring 19 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. David Douglas Jr. added 15 points, connecting on four three-pointers, and Jake Heidbreder finished with 12 points while going a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line.

Fresno State struggled to find its offensive rhythm early as Grand Canyon built an early lead behind strong play in the paint and at the free-throw line. The Bulldogs were held to 19 points in the first half, trailing 26–19 at the break.
The Bulldogs responded with improved energy and execution in the second half, scoring 38 points and cutting the deficit to single digits multiple times. Fresno State generated offense through defensive pressure and transition opportunities, highlighted by powerful finishes from Gory and timely perimeter shooting from Douglas Jr.
