FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State swim team is sending a select group of athletes to the two-day UNLV First Chance Meet at the Jim Reitz Pool . The meet begins Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. and wraps up on Saturday at 10 a.m.Â
Bulldogs Bones
The freshman trio had a great start to their collegiate career. In her time her Recio has earned five top-10 finishes and saw a season high third place finish in the 100 breaststroke in the tri-meet against CSUB and FPU.Â
Hill, a native from Chula Vista placed a season high second in the 200 butterfly in the tri-meet against Cal State East Bay. The freshman tacked on four top-five finishes this season. Against MW opponent, Nevada, placed sixth in the 100 butterfly.Â
Supreme, holds four top-ten finishes this season with a season high fifth place finish against Cal State East Bay in the 100 freestyle. The freshman is coming off an eighth and 12th place finish in the 200 free & 100 free, respectively against San Jose State.Â

Bulldogs Bones
- Three Bulldogs will make the trip to the first chance meet in Vegas - Audrey Hill, Marissa Recio and Safiyah Supreme
- The freshman trio will represent Fresno State this weekend, while the remainder of the team prepares for the MW Championships the following weekÂ
- This is the final meet before Fresno State heads to Houston for the MW Conference Championships beginning on Feb. 18-21Â
- Fresno State holds a 5-1 record this season and are 1-1 against MW teamsÂ
- Marissa Recio, has seen the most stroke versatility among the three having competed in seven events throughout the seasonÂ
- This season three Bulldogs have earned MW Weekly Honors, Mackenzie Miller Lung (Swimmer, 3x), Natalia Bedolla (Diver) and Haley Oke (Freshman)Â
- Fresno State has broken a total of nine records throughout the whole seasonÂ
