'Dogs complete first day of UNLV meet

LAS VEGAS - Select Fresno State swimmers completed the first day of the UNLV First Chance meet on Friday afternoon.Â
How it happenedÂ
Audrey Hill and Marissa Recio walked away the first day with an event win each. Hill took the top spot in the 200 butterfly on the verge of a new best time, touching for 2:05.70. Recio claimed the win in the 400 IM in a time of 4:39.68, the freshman saw an unfortunate DQ in the 200 butterfly.Â
Hill also placed seventh in the 50 freestyle (24.45). Safiyah Supreme earned two top-ten finishes in the freestyle events, taking seventh in the 100 free (54.07) and ninth in the 50 free (24.79).Â
