FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team will travel to Palm Desert over the weekend to compete in the John & Alice Wallace Classic, hosted by Long Beach State, at Monterey Country Club from Feb. 14 - Feb. 16.

THE FIELD
The 16-team field includes: Boise State, Denver, Eastern Michigan, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Hawaii, Long Beach State, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, San Jose State, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Riverside, USC, Vanderbilt, and Washington. Â

LAST TIME
- Fresno State will be competing in the Alice & John Wallace Classic for the second time in program history
- The Bulldogs competed in the tournament for the first time last spring, placing 17th/21
- Katelyn Lehigh earned her first top-10 finish of the 2024-2025 season in the tournament, shooting 3-under 210 to take home third place.
- Amelia Garibaldi wrapped up the tournament at 12-over and Vunnisa Vu shot 16-overÂ
A LOOK AT THE SPRING
- Fresno State is coming off a twelfth place finish at the San Diego State Classic, posting a team score of 50-over 914 at the Heights Golf Club
- Amelia Garibaldi led the Bulldogs for the second straight tournament of the spring, shooting 11-over to finish tied for 27th.
- Fresno State started the spring by placing second at the Soboba ClassicÂ
- The Bulldogs second place finish was their best finish of the 2025-2026 season
- Their second place finish was also Fresno State's best start to a spring campaign since 2021 when the Bulldogs placed second at the Rebel Beach Intercollegiate hosted by UNLV
- Three golfers finished inside the top 10 (Amelia Garibaldi 2nd, Katelyn Lehigh T3, and Vunnisa Vu T5)
- Katelyn Lehigh recorded her best finish of the season at the Soboba Classic, shooting 6-over.
WHO'SÂ BACK
Fresno State will be returning three players, including top performers Amelia Garibaldi and Katelyn Lehigh
Amelia Garibaldi competed in all 11 tournaments last season while recording three top 20 finishes. She went on to post a season-best 14th-place finish at The Clash at Boulder Creek with a tournament score of 5-under. Garibaldi shot a season-low round of 3-under 69 at The Clash at Boulder Creek and would finish the season with a 75.3 scoring average.Â
Katelyn Lehigh competed in all 11 tournaments for the Bulldogs and finished the season with a 73.9 scoring average, all while earning All-Mountain West honors. Lehigh recorded five top 10 finishes, including a 4th place showing at the Fresno State Classic. She would also record a 3-under total at the Alice and John Wallace Women's Golf and finish fifth at the Mountain West Women's Golf Championship.
Vunnisa Vu competed in all 11 tournaments and posted a 74.5 scoring average. She would secure her first career win at The Clash at Boulder Creek with a 15-under total. By season's end, Vu would record four top 10 finishes which included an eighth place finish at the Mountain West Women's Golf Championship
WHO'S NEW
Fresno State welcomed three newcomers to the roster this season. All three additions joining the Bulldogs are freshmen
Lara Goerlich, a native of Hanover, Germany, has joined the Bulldogs alongside freshmen Hyojeong Kang and Sara Rampoldi who come from Seoul, South Korea and Mar Del Plata, Argentina respectively, to begin their collegiate careers with Fresno State.Â
