2/17/2026 10:06:00 PM | Men's Basketball
LARAMIE, Wyo. – The Fresno State Bulldogs men's basketball fell on the road Tuesday night, dropping a 92-82 decision to the Wyoming Cowboys men's basketball at the Arena-Auditorium.
Fresno State (12-14, 6-9 MW) shot an efficient 51.8 percent from the field and scored 42 points in the paint, but Wyoming (14-12, 5-10 MW) connected on 15 three-pointers and shot 45.5 percent from beyond the arc to secure the conference victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs and Cowboys traded blows throughout the first half, which featured three ties and two lead changes. Fresno State built a five-point advantage midway through the opening period behind strong interior play from Wilson Jacques and timely shooting from Cameron Faas. The Cowboys answered with a flurry from deep, knocking down eight first-half threes to take a narrow 42-40 lead into the break.
Jacques powered the Bulldogs inside all night, finishing with a team-high 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting while adding 12 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season. Zaon Collins added 11 points, five assists and five steals, while DeShawn Gory contributed 17 points. Faas was perfect from beyond the arc, going 3-for-3 from three-point range to score 11 off the bench.
Fresno State continued to attack the paint in the second half and briefly regained momentum behind Jacques and Collins, but Wyoming's perimeter shooting proved to be the difference. Nasir Meyer led all scorers with 22 points, while Khaden Bennett and Damarion Dennis each added 17 as the Cowboys poured in 50 second-half points.
Despite shooting 48.0 percent from three (7-of-15) and committing just nine turnovers, the Bulldogs were unable to overcome Wyoming's 21 assists and 15 made threes.
