FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State's Jenna Pullkinen will participate as the lone Bulldog in the last chance meet. The meet provides a final chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships that will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 18-21.

Pulkkinen will look to best her time in the 100 breaststroke on Friday morning. The junior hopes to comfortably sit within the top 38 in the nation in the event to see a spot at the NCAA championships come march. While her MW championship time of 59.77 surpasses the NCAA qualification time, the new format allows for the conference champion of the event to earn the automatic event entry. The Finland native will work to slim down her time for a high placement among the competition pool.Â

Pulkkinen had a strong showing in the breaststroke events at MW Championships this past week in Houston. The junior was the defending MW champion in the 100 breaststroke, while the title remained within the program, Pulkkinen placed fourth (59.77). In the 200 breaststroke, she placed fifth (2:09.92) while also having a place on two different relays.Â
