FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State Athletics today announced the launch of its first-ever Fan Experience Advisory Council, a new initiative designed to bring the Red Wave directly into the strategic evolution of the Fresno State game-day experience.
Led by Director of Athletics Garrett Klassy and Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Fan Engagement Jake Mastro, the council will serve as a collaborative group of passionate fans committed to enhancing every aspect of the in-venue atmosphere — from traditions and theme nights to in-game entertainment, and the overall fan experience.
"Our traditions are powerful, and our future has to be even bigger" said Klassy. "As we move toward the Pac-12, we're doubling down on what makes Fresno State special while upgrading the entire fan experience with fresh ideas, higher energy, and a relentless focus on our people"
"The fan experience is where memories are made and traditions are born," said Mastro. "By bringing passionate Bulldog fans into the conversation, we're creating a platform to build new traditions, elevate the energy in our venues, and continue to make every game day in Fresno unforgettable."
The Fan Experience Advisory Council will meet monthly, primarily in a virtual format, with select in-person opportunities and behind-the-scenes access integrated throughout the year. Members will work alongside athletics leadership and staff to provide perspective, challenge ideas, and help shape the future of Fresno State's game-day environment.
As the first initiative of its kind in department history, the council underscores Fresno State Athletics' commitment to innovation, transparency, and fan-centered growth.
Fresno State Athletics is seeking a diverse and engaged group of supporters to serve on the inaugural council, including students, alumni, season ticket holders, young professionals, longtime fans, and members of the greater Fresno State community. The goal is to assemble a representative group that reflects the passion and diversity of the Red Wave.
Applications to join the Fan Experience Advisory Council are now open. Interested fans can apply by visiting here. The application window will close on March 25th, with selected members notified shortly thereafter.
