FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team will travel to Arizona this week to compete in the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, hosted by Wyoming, from April 7 - April 8 at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.

THE FIELD
The 21-team field includes: Arizona State, Boise State, BYU, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Gonzaga, Iowa State, Long Beach State, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Oral Roberts, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, Southern Utah, UC Riverside, University of Texas at El Paso, UNLV, and Wyoming.

WHO'S BACK
Fresno State will be returning three players, including top performers Amelia Garibaldi and Katelyn Lehigh
Amelia Garibaldi competed in all 11 tournaments last season while recording three top 20 finishes. She went on to post a season-best 14th-place finish at The Clash at Boulder Creek with a tournament score of 5-under. Garibaldi shot a season-low round of 3-under 69 at The Clash at Boulder Creek and would finish the season with a 75.3 scoring average.
Katelyn Lehigh competed in all 11 tournaments for the Bulldogs and finished the season with a 73.9 scoring average, all while earning All-Mountain West honors. Lehigh recorded five top 10 finishes, including a 4th place showing at the Fresno State Classic. She would also record a 3-under total at the Alice and John Wallace Women's Golf and finish fifth at the Mountain West Women's Golf Championship.
Vunnisa Vu competed in all 11 tournaments and posted a 74.5 scoring average. She would secure her first career win at The Clash at Boulder Creek with a 15-under total. By season's end, Vu would record four top 10 finishes which included an eighth place finish at the Mountain West Women's Golf Championship
WHO'S NEW
Fresno State welcomed three newcomers to the roster this season. All three additions joining the Bulldogs are freshmen
Lara Goerlich, a native of Hanover, Germany, has joined the Bulldogs alongside freshmen Hyojeong Kang and Sara Rampoldi who come from Seoul, South Korea and Mar Del Plata, Argentina respectively, to begin their collegiate careers with Fresno State.

A LOOK AT THE TOURNAMENT
- Fresno State will be competing in the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic for the third time in program history
- The Bulldogs last competed in the tournament in 2023, as Fresno State placed 8th/20
- Senior Katelyn Lehigh finished tied for 37th in the tournament after shooting 15-over

LAST TOURNAMENT
- Fresno State is coming off a 14th place finish in the Juli Inkster Invitational held at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California.
- Amelia Garibaldi led the Bulldogs in the tournament, shooting 9-over to finish tied for 24th
- Lara Goerlich ended her tournament inside the top 50 as the freshman finished tied for 48th at 14-over
