2021 (FRESHMAN): Started 48 games in left field … led the Bulldogs in batting average (.358) … RBIs (41), home runs (12), doubles (10) and slugging percentage (.737) … tied for most hits on the team with 49 … recorded a hit in 32 games including 15 multi-hit games … drew 14 walks … stole eight bases … logged 80 putouts … named the MW Player of the Year and Co-Freshman of the Year after dominating conference play with a .408 batting average, 29 hits, 23 RBIs, .873 slugging percentage and a .463 on base percentage … named MW Player of the Week on April 6 after leading Fresno State to a series sweep over New Mexico going 4-for-9 (.444) with three multi-base hits including a home run and five RBIs ... named an All- MW First Team and NFCA All-Region Second Team selection.
HIGH SCHOOL: Three-time All-Palomares League selection and is three-time offensive MVP selection. Mattson was the team Rookie of the Year as a freshman and grew into a team captain role last season.
