
Over the past eight seasons, the Western Athletic Conference has tracked the performance of each of its member schools through a race for an annual Commissioner's Cup based on the collective achievements in each of the 18 WAC-sponsored sports.

Fresno State is also one of three institutions, along with Boise State and Rice University (a former WAC member during the first three years of the Cup), to have won the award twice. The 'Dogs, however, are the only program to have scored at least 80 points in six of the eight Cup contests and top three finishes in seven of the eight academic years of the Cup
.

In 2009-10, the Bulldogs won three team championships as the baseball team captured its fourth regular season title in the past five years, the women's basketball completed a perfect 16-0 mark in league play en route to its third straight NCAA Tournament appearance and the men's tennis team finished in a tie for first place through WAC action and won its first NCAA Tournament match since 2003.

Every year, Fresno State student-athletes demonstrate a distinct focus to bring home championships and earn their diplomas. The hard work and passion of these individuals is nurtured daily by dedicated coaches and staff, who foster the growth of young men and women at a pivotal stage of life.
