Fresno State Athletics
Fresno State Cheer

The Fresno State Cheerleaders - presented by Save Mart - are a spirited squad that entertains the Red Wave and enhances the fan experience at Bulldog Athletic events by executing stunts and leading the crowd in cheers. In addition to performing at Bulldog Stadium for home football games and the Save Mart Center for home volleyball matches and basketball games, the cheerleaders also travel to perform at select away football games and postseason basketball events.

The Spirit Program consists of Time Out the mascot, the cheerleaders and the dancers. The role of each Spirit program member is to provide support to all university & intercollegiate athletic programs at Fresno State. Our primary responsibility is to support the athletic teams during their events. The program is seeking individuals who not only have advanced, collegiate level skills in cheer & dance, but also have great leadership qualities & academic focus. The demands of this program are extremely high. Successful candidates must balance practices three to five days a week, game coverage two to three times a week, community & campus appearances once a week, class schedules, school work, family, friends, and jobs. The priority for each member is academics, followed by the athletic commitment. Spirit members are expected to make the Spirit Program their next priority, even over a job.
