Kody Batesole enters his fourth season as a member of the Bulldogs coaching staff moving to the director of operations role in 2019 after spending the last three seasons as an undergraduate coach from 2016-18.
Batesole helped the 'Dogs capture their first Mountain West championship in his first season with the Bulldogs in 2016 and earn runner-up honors at the 2017 Mountain West Tournament.
The son of head coach Mike Batesole, Kody was a member of the 2014 Diamond Dogs as he redshirted the season.
Batesole was a three-year letterwinner as a shortstop at Buchanan High School in Clovis, Calif., under coach Tom Donald upon graduating in the spring of 2013. He was a member of the national championship team that clinched the No. 1 ranking in the ESPN RISE POWERADE Fab 50 national rankings in 2011 and graduated high school with a 3.0 GPA.
Batesole graduated with a marketing major in the spring of 2018 and has two older sisters, Kassy and Kally, and one younger brother, Korby who recently finished his Bulldog career in 2018 and went on to be a 26th-round selection of the Boston Red Sox in the 2018 MLB Draft.
