Kate Kammer joins the Fresno State water polo staff as an assistant coach for the Bulldogs' inaugural season.
A native of Fullerton, California, Kammer competed at Troy High School and for the Huntington Beach Water Polo Club. A member of the HB Junior Olympic Championship team in 2011, Kammer continued her water polo career at CSUN. Kammer played there from 2012-15, and finished her water polo career with 63 goals in more than 100 games. During her career, Kammer helped the Matadors reach a national ranking as high as seventh and led the team to the Big West Tournament Championship game in 2014. Kammer graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biology.
After her NCAA eligibility expired, Kammer began interning with CSUN athletics administration in 2015-16. Upon graduation, Kammer took on a role with the baseball team, overseeing the stadium development project in 2016-2017. While working at CSUN, Kammer also served as the head coach of the 16-and-under girls at South Coast Aquatics and served at various Olympic Development Program events such as Holiday Camp and Cadet National Team Selection Camp.
