Luke Jackson is entering his third season working for the Fresno State men's basketball program.
After two seasons as a graduate assistant for the Bulldogs (2019-21), Jackson was promoted by head coach Justin Hutson in April 2021 to the role of special assistant, which continues to assist with all aspects of the program, including an emphasis on analytics.
Prior to enrolling at Fresno State, Jackson served as a graduate assistant for Sacramento State during the 2018-19 season and spent the previous two seasons (2016-18) at San Diego State where he was a student assistant. With the Aztecs, he handled numerous duties including travel, video, and practice logistics.
Prior to San Diego State, Jackson spent three years playing basketball at Grossmont College in El Cajon, Calif.
He prepped at Millennium High School in Goodyear, Ariz., where he was a two-year starting forward for the varsity team in 2011-12 and 2012-13. During his senior season (2012-13), he helped the team to a 24-6 overall record, 14-1 in league, and a quarterfinal appearance at the state tournament. That Millennium squad finished the season ranked 21st in the state of Arizona.
A native of Goodyear, Ariz., Jackson graduated from San Diego State in the spring of 2018 with a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies.
