2018 (Senior): Started the first 53 games of the year at shortstop before missing the season finale due to injury ... hit second in 50 games ... was an All-MW First Team selection after hitting .331 with 8 home runs, 39 RBIs, and 30 runs scored overall ... hit .400 with 4 home runs, 19 RBIs, and 13 runs scored in 23 MW games ... led NCAA Div. 2017 (Junior): Started all 58 games at shortstop ... hit .203 on the season with a .302 on-base percentage and .305 slugging percentage, mostly from the ninth spot in the lineup ... paced the Bulldogs with 87 assists, including a season-best four against Florida Gulf Coast on Feb. 17 and San Diego State on March 18 ... notched 93 putouts, including a season-best four against UC Davis on Feb. 26 and Washington on March 4 ... led the team with 10 sacrifices, including eight sac bunts ... recorded eight extra-base hits, including a three-run home run against Stanford on Feb. 12, three triples and four doubles ... scored 13 runs and knocked in 16 ... drew 12 walks ... hit a walk-off double in extra innings in the Bulldogs' home-opener against Cal Poly on Feb. 23 ... had a season-best three RBIs and two runs scored against Stanford on Feb. 12 ... went 3-for-3 with a triple, double, two RBIs and a run scored against San Diego State on March 18 ... had first career triple against Florida Gulf Coast on Feb. 16 and first career stolen base against Northwestern on March 4.
2016 (Sophomore): Appeared in 42 games, primarily at second base … earned three starts versus Cal State Northridge, Ohio State and Princeton … pinch-ran once, played shortstop on two occasions and pinch-hit twice during the Boise State series … registered five hits, scored three runs with three RBIs … logged her third-career double versus Princeton on March 19 and drew her lone walk of the year in the postseason against Cal State Bakersfield … turned three double plays, had 29 putouts and accounted for 28 assists while maintaining a perfect (1.000) fielding percentage.
2015 (Freshman): Led the reserve players with a .190 batting average in 26 game appearances ... made 20 starts at shortstop, first base and third base with three pinch-hit opportunities ... collected 11 hits in 58 at-bats with her first coming on Feb. 13 against Santa Clara ... had three multi-hit games vs. UC Davis (Feb. 14), UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 27) and Cal Poly (March 15) ... tallied seven total RBIs, with two at home against Oregon State on Feb. 28 ... registered two doubles, one home run, 16 total bases, drew four walks and was hit by a pitch four times ... her first collegiate home run came against Santa Clara during the season home opener on Feb. 13 ... was among 10 Bulldogs that posted a fielding percentage of .900 or better, capping her first season with 83 putouts and 16 assists.
High School: Four-time varsity letterwinner … 2014 TCAL MVP, first-team all-league selection and St. Mary's Senior Athlete of the Year … hit .525 with 31 RBIs, nine doubles, six triples and four home runs as a senior … posted a .565 on-base percentage and .851 slugging percentage ... was also an all-area honoree and two-time Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 and `13 … batted above .400 her first three years (junior .565, sophomore .406, freshman .410) ... also played for the Stockton Running Rebels Gold club team and appeared in the 2013 Triple Crown and 2011 Fireworks All-Star Games in Colorado.
Personal: Parents are Marie and Steve Castellon ... has two brothers, Steven Jr. and Aaron ... most impacted by the 2008 Olympic softball team for the moment they laid their cleats at home plate, after playing Japan, to symbolize the loss of softball in the Olympics ... admires her parents for getting her to where she is today ... majoring in criminology (law enforcement) … chose Fresno State because it's a great school and has a great softball program.
