Prior to Fresno State:
Queener spent three seasons at Rhodes College (Tenn.) serving as the head coach of the women's lacrosse team. He is the only head coach the program has had since it started in the 2013-14 school year. During his time at the Division III school, he compiled an impressive 36-11 record (.766). Queener led the Lynx to a pair of SAA Championships and a regular season SAA title in 2016. He also has a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances on his resume as Rhodes College made it to the second round of the tournament in 2015 and 2016.
 Preceding his stint at Rhodes College, Queener founded the first women's lacrosse team at the prestigious Hill Academy in Toronto, Ontario. He also coached the men's varsity, prep and postgraduate teams at Hill Academy, coaching over 60 student-athletes who went on to play NCAA lacrosse.
Prior to his time at The Hill Academy, Queener was an assistant coach for Georgetown University, Binghamton University and Siena College.
Queener played collegiately at Georgetown University for Hall of Fame coach Dave Urick. He played in every game of his four year career at Georgetown and helped the team win the ECAC league championship twice. During Queener's career at Georgetown, the team qualified for four straight NCAA tournaments and advanced to the Elite 8 in all four seasons.
Queener was drafted into Major League Lacrosse League by the Rochester Rattlers, where he played two seasons. He has spent the last four seasons playing for the Hamilton Nationals, helping them advance to the MLL finals in 2011.
