2016-17 (JUNIOR): Set personal-bests in the 50 Freestyle (25.37), 200 Freestyle (2:01.29) and 100 Backstroke (1:03.43) at the A3 Performance Invitational on Nov. 17 … recorded a personal-best time in the 50 Backstroke (30.31) at the Chik-fil-A Invitational on Oct. 7 … swam a personal-best in the 500 Freestyle at the Pacific Invitational on Oct. 21 … set a personal-best in the 100 Freestyle (55.31) against San Jose State on Jan. 28.
PRIOR TO FRESNO STATE: Competed for both Modesto Junior College and Merced College … competing in both swimming and water polo … earned first-team All-Nor Cal (Modesto JC) and first-team All Costal Conference (Merced C) honors … named swimming MVP at Merced College.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Turlock High School in Turlock, California … earned three varsity letters and was named the 2014 swimming MVP … additionally competed in water polo.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Kurtice and Brenda Groteguth … siblings include Kristine, Hannah and Nicole … hobbies include making crafts she finds off of Pinterest … favorite athlete is Bethany Hamilton because she overcame great odds and kept her faith strong and is still succeeding in life and within her sport … biggest athletic thrill is becoming a DI athlete … most admires her parents because they have pushed me to become a stronger Christian and a better person … chose to attend Fresno State because it is a great local DI university and they welcomed me in like family ... she is a art-graphic design major at Fresno State.
