2022-23 (FRESHMAN)
Fall 2022:
PERSONAL: Daughter of Oleg and Mariya Vyshkina. Older sister to Alika Vyshkina who is 11 years old. Outside of the tennis court Vyshkina enjoys cars, shooting, and equestrian. Mariya’s favorite athlete is herself because she is her own biggest motivation, and she admires her mom for her strength.
Major: Kinesiology
Fall 2022:
- Vyshkina’s fall tennis debut began at the Cal Fall Invitational, where she soared through the Gold Bracket consolation singles making it to the semifinals.
- Earned a singles win in the round of 128 draw and a doubles win with partner Marzano in the round of 64 at the ITA Northwest Regionals.
- Knocked out UCLA doubles team with partner Piferi to reach the quarterfinals at the Jack Kramer Invitational in Southern California.
- Vyshkina’s spring tennis debut was against Sacramento State where she earned her first dual match singles win at line 5 in a tough three set match.
- Secured a tough singles win at line 6 against #54 ranked team Brigham Young University.
- Helped the Bulldogs take out the #42 ranked team, Colorado State by picking up victories in both doubles and singles.
- Played at line 5 and 6 in singles and primarily line 3 in doubles most of the spring season.
