Head coach Daniella Irle scheduled challenging meets for the young Bulldogs on purpose-- to learn and get better.
Racing against some of the best swimmers in the nation, the Bulldogs did just that. Falling to CAL with a score of 98-196, the Bulldogs capitalized on improvement.
Highlights for the ?Dogs came from senior Heidi Crompton who took first in the 100 Free with a time of :53.95 followed by teammate Lena Darnell who took second with :54.16. The Bulldogs took both the second and third places in several events including the 100 Fly, 400 IM, 500 Free, and the 200 Breast. Another highlight came from a second place finish by freshman Sara Quinn in the 1000 Free with a time of 10:45.10.
"CAL was everything that we expected them to be," Irle said. "I thought we swam well overall."
