Bulldogs defeat Cal Poly, 89-62

Fresno, Calif. - The Bulldogs remain undefeated in 1999 as they won their second game in a row with a 89-62 victory over Cal Poly Saturday at the North Gym. The 'Dogs are now 5-8 on the season.
Fresno State only had a 36-35 lead going into the lockerroom at halftime, but it was a 53-point explosion in the second half that propelled them to the win. Junior Tiffany Lewis led all scorers with 18 points. She also added 10 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season.
Three other Bulldogs also ended the game scoring in double digits. Senior Jessie Farias added 15 points and eight assists to go along with sophomore Amanda Baker's 11 points and sophomore Atari Parker's 14. It was a career night for Parker as she set personal bests is points and rebounds (5).
This was the last non-conference game of the season for the 'Dogs as they prepare to take on San Jose State to open the 1999 WAC season. After facing the Spartans on Saturday, January 9 at 7 p.m., the 'Dogs will take their show on the road to match up against 9-3 New Mexico on January 14, and UTEP on January 16.
