Bulldogs Finish Eighth
Seven members of the Fresno State equestrian team traveled to Murfreesboro, Tenn. to take part in the Tournament of Champions show last weekend at Middle Tennessee State. The Bulldogs had a good showing by tieing for eighth place in the 24 team field, tallying 17 points as a team. Individually, senior Keri Pilgrim (San Jose, Calif.) was the leading rider for the Bulldogs. Pilgrim placed first in a field of 24 riders in Walk/Trot/Canter. Senior Dina Bernardi (Salinas, Calif.) placed second in Open Equitation Flat and third in Open Equitation over Fences. Senior Tori Majors (Fresno, Calif.) placed seventh in Novice Equitation over Fences and sophomore Erin Tooms (Fresno, Calif.) finished seventh in Intermediate Equitation over Fences. The Bulldogs also received a sixth place finish from sophomore Andrea Svenningsen (San Lorenzo, Calif.) in Walk/Trot.
Bulldogs Travel to Oregon State The Bulldogs will travel to Oregon State University on Saturday, Feb. 6, for the all day English and Western show before returning to Region I competition on Sunday, Feb. 21 at the Fresno State Student Horse Center. The Bulldogs will closeout the month on Sunday, Feb. 28, as they travel to Reedley College for a double Western show.
Fresno State Show Pushed Back One Week
The Fresno State Intercollegiate Horse Show will now take place on Sunday, Feb. 21, instead of the originally scheduled date of Sunday, Feb. 14. The all day double Western event will be held at the Fresno State Student Horse Center, beginning at 8:30 a.m..
Bulldogs Add 10 Riders for Spring Season The Fresno State equestrian team added 10 riders to the roster for the Spring season. Head coach Megan McGee will now begin the Spring with 85 riders.
