Equestrian Team Rebounds To Earn High Point Honors

Fresno, Calif. - After a disappointing fourth place finish yesterday, the Fresno State equestrian team rebounded at todays Fresno State Intercollegiate Horse Show capturing high point English team honors at the Student Horse Center.
Fresno State tallied 30 points to edge out reserve high point team UC Davis with 25 points.
Senior Dina Bernardi (Salinas, Calif.) was named the high point rider for todays event. Bernardi had first place finishes in Open Equitation over Fences and Open Equitation Flat to compile 14 total points. The reserve rider was Jenny Coakley of Cal Poly with 12 points.
Freshman Malia Oglesby (Clovis) placed first in Intermediate Equitation Flat, section A and sophomore Elissa Cotter (Elk Grove, Calif.) placed first in Open Equitation Flat, section B. The Bulldogs also received first place finishes from sophomore Elizabeth Bauer (Poway, Calif.) in Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter and sophomore Andrea Svenningsen (Fresno) in Walk/Trot.
Fresno State will return to action on Sunday, Feb. 28 at the Reedley College Intercollegiate Horse Show.
