Fresno State Defeats Nevada, 59-49

Fresno, Calif. - The Bulldogs started 1999 with a win by defeating the Wolf Pack of Nevada, 59-49, Saturday in Fresno. The 'Dogs are now 4-8 while Nevada falls to 4-7.
Junior forward Tiffany Lewis scored her fifth double-double of the season as she put in 14 points and added 13 rebounds. Senior guard Connie Krueger led all scorers with 19 points, including three treys.
Nevada had a 25-23 lead going into the lockerroom at halftime, thanks in large part to a 9-15 performance at the free throw line. The 'Dogs came back in the second half as they were 12-26 shooting in the second half and were 12-19 from the charity stripe. For the game the Bulldogs outshot Nevada, .385 to .260.
The Bulldogs next game will be the rescheduled match against Cal Poly on Monday, January 4. Game time is 7 p.m.
