Women's Basketball Falls to Pepperdine

Malibu, Calif. - Despite 13 points from center Angel Hines and 12 points from WAC player of the week Tiffany Lewis, the Fresno State women's basketball team fall to Pepperdine 69-61 Tuesday night at Firestone Fieldhouse. Down by as many as 13 points in the game and eight points midway through the second half, the Bulldogs went on an 11-4 run to take a one point lead 54-53. The Waves, however, battled back and overcame poor field goal and free throw shooting the in second half to take back the lead with two minutes left. Fouls and free throws put the Waves up for good.

Connie Krueger scored all nine of her points in the second half.

The Bulldogs (2-5) head to the Buffalo Tournament and will play Florida Atlantic Friday.
