FRESNO, Calif. - Join the Red Wave on the road this spring as the Fresno State softball team starts its pursuit of another national title. Travel to Los Angeles for two pairs of doubleheaders against 1999 NCAA Champion UCLA on Saturday, Feb. 26, and Western Athletic Conference opponent Loyola Marymount on Sunday, Feb. 27.
The bus tour will leave Fresno at 6:30 am on Saturday morning and stop for lunch before arriving at UCLA for the 1 p.m. doubleheader. After the games, fans will be able to check in at the Radisson Hotel in Sherman Oaks. The evening will be free and fans should be able to watch the Fresno State-Rice men's basketball game that night via satellite feed.
Also, there will be a shuttle service to nearby Universal Studio's Citywalk. This is an exicting "street" loaded with restaurants, unusual shops, street performers, and theaters including the dinner theater magic production, Wizardz.
On Sunday the bus will travel to Loyola Marymount for the 1 p.m. doubleheader conference opener and return back to Fresno following the games.
The escourted tour includes a round trip motor coach to Los Angeles, one night stay at the Radisson Valley Center, and game tickets to the UCLA and LMU doubleheaders. Cost is $149.00 per person (double occupancy, separate rates are available for singles and families). For reservations or addition information, call Tim Schiller at (559) 225-3164.
