Boise State linebacker Greg Sasser
On the last play
"I kept thinking I need to keep coming. On the last one, I just tried to rip by the running back. I got my shoulder down and got around him. I ripped on Carr and tried to bring him down and hope we came up with the ball."
On what he was thinking on Fresno State's last drive
"I wasn't really panicking. I knew they had a long way...I think for a young defense, we were still calm. No one was panicking. No one was screaming and yelling at each other. Everyone seemed real calm. Even after we had the [12 men on the field] penalty. That was a terrible penalty to have in that situation. There didn't seem to be much panic. One thing we talked about on the sidelines was not waiting for the game to end, but to end it ourselves."
Boise State quarterback Ryan Dinwiddie
On the game-winning touchdown
"It was a play ran earlier. We like hitting the short guy underneath. The safety cheated over to the right. Jay [Swillie] just went up the hash and I saw him and got it to him. The guy came up and gave him a good hit. [Swillie] was just being a big-time player and made the play himself."
On going up against David Carr
"You can't do much more than he did. He gave them a chance to win the game, and he's an awesome quarterback. He'll be an NFL draft in the first round."
Boise State head coach Dan Hawkins
General thoughts
"I told our guys that throughout my career, I've been involved in a lot of so-called upsets. Upsets really happen when guys don't consider it an upset. We made a lot of strides this year, and got better each week. We knew we had a good football team. I knew they were good. I just wanted our team to come in here and play 60 minutes of good football, which we did not do at South Carolina. We did not do it at Rice. And we did not do it against Washington State, either."
On the offensive game plan
"We felt like we've been very solid running the football this year. We played some other teams, particularly South Carolina, who were physical teams. We wanted to come in and stay with our game plan, much like Colorado State did last weekend. They didn't get rattled. They just hung in and tried to run the ball and save your quarterback."
Fresno State head coach Pat Hill
General thoughts on the game
"Like I told the team in the locker room, the dream of the BCS is over. Now we have to regroup and try to win a conference championship. All I care about is being 7-1 next week. We still have a chance to have a heck of a season, but this is very disappointing. I have to give a lot of credit to Boise State. The better team won tonight."
"They out-executed us, out-played us. We got beat 21-9 in the second half on our home field. A lot of credit has to go to them. The WAC is as good as it's been since I've been here. And we have a lot of tough games coming up. Our goal is to win the WAC and go to a bowl game. And that hasn't changed."
