- Fresno State's victory improves its record in the all-time series to 20-12-1. The Bulldogs have won four in a row against Nevada.
- Bryson Sumlin carried the ball 12 times for 60 yards, both career highs. He also had a rushing TD, his second as a Bulldog.
- On Senior Night, Fresno State started three starters on offense (Rodney Michael, Victor Taifane, Joe Schey) and four on defense (Nick Burley, Jason Stewart, Sam Williams, Cameron Worrell).
- Rodney Michael made his 34 consecutive start in tonight's game. That is the longest streak of any Bulldog.
- The Bulldogs are 6-0 all-time in Senior Games under Hill and are now 29-5 overall at Bulldog Stadium in Hill's tenure.
- Fresno State has now won eight consecutive games in November, the last lost coming Nov. 11, 2000, at TCU. The Bulldogs have also won 10 of their 11 home games under Pat Hill in November.
- Since 1997, the Bulldogs are 34-5 in games when leading at halftime.
- The interception returns for touchdowns by Fresno State were its second and third defensive TDs of the season. The Bulldogs had not scored two defensive scores in a game since Oct. 14, 2000, against Nevada when Dante Marsh scored on a 27-yard interception return and Kendall Edwards recovered a fumble in the end zone.
- Dee Meza's touchdown was his second of the year. He also
- Rodney Davis had 98 yards on the ground, improving his season total to 1,114, the fifth-best single-season total in school history. Michael Pittman is fourth at 1,132 and Jamie Kimbrough is third at 1,168. Ron Rivers' 1,477 yards in 1993 is the best ever in a single season.
- Fresno State's senior class improved to 15-2 at Bulldog Stadium.
- Cameron Worrell's interception was his team-high fourth of 2002. It also was his first career touchdown.
- Duncan Reid's 66 yards receiving was a career high.
- The Bulldogs held Nevada to just 98 yards rushing, just the second time in the last seven games the opposition has rushed for less than 100.
- After going three consecutive games without throwing an interception, Paul Pinegar has now tossed one in four contests in a row. He has, however, had a touchdown pass in seven consecutive games.
- Tonight marked the third consecutive game Fresno State has had more than 150 rushing yards. It was also the fourth game in a row the Bulldogs have rushed the ball at least 40 times.
- Through 11 games, Fresno State has failed to start the defensive lineup in consecutive contests.
