NOTES: Pacific has faced every opponent in the bracket this season except Evansville. The Tigers opened their season with a 4-0 win over then fifth-ranked Cal. The next weekend Pacific was swept by then third-ranked Stanford 2-1 in nine innings and lost 8-2 in the second game.
In February, Fresno State and Pacific battled 15 innings before Fresno State claimed a 2-1 victory and went on to sweep the Tigers with a 6-1 victory in the second game. Pacific took two of three games from then seventh-ranked Cal State Fullerton on April 20 and 21.
Last season, Pacific and Stanford met in the regional championship. The Tigers forced a second championship game before being eliminated by the Cardinal who advanced to the College World Series.
