FRESNO, Calif. -
1). What three accomplishments are you most proud of and why?
I am proud of trying out for the softball team and making it as a walk-on. I am proud of graduating from high school, junior college, and soon to be Fresno State. And I am proud of coaching my 10 and under softball team. We made it to nationals in my first year ever coaching the team. It was very exciting.
2). What was the most rewarding part of coaching?
The most rewarding part was seeing the kids be successful. The team didn't win a lot of games before nationals, but once they got there everything fell into place. In one of the games against a really good team, they ended up coming from behind to win the game. This game showed me there is more than just winning. The kids kept after it all summer and it ended up paying off.
3). If your life philosophy could be summed up on a bumper sticker, what would it say?
Great things come in small packages.
4). What is the biggest lesson sports has taught you about life?
I have learned that you get out what you put into things.
5). Who has been the most influential person in your life?
My brother Joe has been the most influential. He has supported me all through my softball career. He works hard for what he gets and he shows me that being an honest hard worker can bring you much joy. He loves the game of softball and he loves me with all his heart. I love you Joe!
6). What is your no fail mood booster?
It would be the new song by Creed called "Sacrifice." I love that song because it shows me there is a light up ahead even though you may not see it.
7). If you could be anybody for a day, who would you be?
Jennifer Lopez because I would love to sing like her and be in the movies that she has done. She has the opportunity to not only be a singer but an actress too.
8). What is always in your fridge?
Pickles.
9). What do you wish someone had told you earlier in life?
I wish someone had told me to live in the moment because if you don't it's gone before you know it.
