The Bulldogs are 2-4 all-time in postseason WNIT competition.

Fresno State is 16-13 all-time against Santa Clara, its first-round opponent on Friday.

Fresno State's 19-12 record represents a 10-game improvement from last season, when the 'Dogs finished 9-20 overall. That is the largest turnaround for back-to-back seasons in school history, besting the seven-game upgrade from 1982-1983.

With its selection to the WNIT, the Bulldogs are assured of playing 32 games this year. That ranks as the second-longest season in Fresno State history, just shy of the 33 games played during the 1989-90 campaign.

Fresno State has never hosted a postseason game in its history.

Regardless of its performance in the WNIT, the Bulldogs are assured of their first winning season since the 1996-97 campaign when the club finished with a 14-13 ledger.
