Bulldog Athletes Well-Represented Among Spring Academic All-WAC Teams

DENVER- The 2002-03 academic All-WAC squad for spring sports was announced earlier today, in addition to the academic all-WAC freshmen/transfer teams for all sports. 54 Bulldog student-athletes were recognized in all, with 24 of those achieving the honor for the spring season.
Among the spring sports, women's track and field led the way with 10 student-athlete honorees. Baseball followed with four, while softball placed three. There were also 24 other Bulldog athletes, either freshmen or transfers, awarded academic All-WAC status.
A total of 371 student-athletes were named to the list. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests. The following is a list of the spring sport honorees:
