Volunteer Activities Scheduled For Women's Basketball

FRESNO, Calif.- The Fresno State women's basketball team is scheduled to participate in a series of community service activities prior to the start of the 2003-04 season in November.
The first stop for some members of the Bulldog squad is scheduled for Tuesday morning with a visit to the Cray Croft Center, which houses children ages 3-17 during their transition to foster care.
The team is also slated to make one of several appearances at Valley Children's Hospital in early November.
Fresno State kicks off the 2003-04 season on Wednesday, Nov. 5 with a "Bulldog Basketball Extravaganza." The event will include scrimmages by the men's and women's teams, games, a three-point shootout, dunk contests, prizes for students and fans, an autograph session and alumni recognition.
The Bulldog's first regular season contest takes place on Friday, Nov. 21, when the 'Dogs square off against Washington State in Pullman, Wash.
