- Fresno State scored 49 points in the first half, the second time in three games the Bulldogs have posted at least 35 points in the opening stanza (35 vs. SMU on Oct. 30). It was also the most points in a half since Fresno State scored posting 56 in the first half against Utah State on Dec. 1, 2001.
- Bryson Sumlin eclipsed the 200-yard mark in the first half, making him the Bulldogs' first 200-yard rusher since Rodney Davis had 221 against Louisiana Tech in the 2002 regular season finale.
- The Bulldogs entered tonight having scored on nine of their last 10 first half possessions. In the first half tonight, Fresno State scored TDs on seven of their eight possessions, meaning that in the last three games, the Bulldogs have scored on 16 of their last 18 first half possessions (15 TDs, 1 FG).
- Fresno State's halftime lead of 49-0 was the largest advantage at the intermission since Oct. 5, 1991, when the Bulldogs led New Mexico State 66-7. The final score of that game was 94-17.
- The deficit was also the largest for Hawaii of the June Jones Era, which began in 1999.
- Pinegar had one of the most efficient halves of his career. His numbers at the break: 7-of-8, 160 yards, 1 TD pass, 1 TD run. This comes a week after Pinegar was very solid in the first half against Rice, against which his halftime numbers were: 12-of-15, 183 yards, 3 TDs.

- The Bulldogs' final offensive output of 679 yards is the first time they have surpassed the 600-yard mark since Dec. 1, 2001, against Utah State (713).
- Nate Ray's fourth quarter interception (which he fumbled on the return) was the third of his career and first against a team other than SMU.

- Fresno State's Paul Pinegar threw 32 fewer passes and had 18 fewer completions than Hawaii QB Timmy Chang yet still threw for nine more yards.
