FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State equestrian head coach Becky Malmo has announced the hiring of Sarah Schneider as an assistant coach for English competition training.
In 2003-04, Schneider served as an undergraduate assistant coach for the equestrian team, guiding the English riders to Regional and Zone championship titles and a sixth-place finish at the 2004 IHSA National Championships.
"We are very fortunate to have someone of Ms. Schneider's depth and quality of experience join our coaching staff," Malmo said. "In addition to an accomplished collegiate career, she brings with her the background of an extremely successful hunter, jumper and has already made a positive impact on our English team members."
Schneider is a 2004 graduate of Fresno State with a degree in psychology. She was also a member of the equestrian team from 2001-03, showing in both the English and Western divisions with top-three finishes in all of her collegiate competitions.
Schneider has shown extensively on the hunter, jumper circuit, acquiring many Hunter, Jumper and Equitation championship titles. In 1996, she was the Northern California Hunter Jumper Association high point medal rider.
