Bulldogs Drop Equestrian Dual to Oklahoma State

FRESNO, Calif. - In the opening show the Bulldog equestrian season, the Bulldogs won one dual and lost to Oklahoma State 368-351in the fifth-place match at the University of Georgia's Big Eight Invitational. The Bulldogs lost to Texas A&M yesterday in the first round and defeated Baylor in the consolation round Friday.
Fresno State competed with seven of the top programs in the nation, including Georgia, South Carolina, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M. Amy Simmons was Fresno State's top performer in Fences, with a score of 80. Freshman Katie Nenneker scored an 81 in the Flat to led the Bulldogs.
This is the first bracket style show of the year, a format that is being considered for institution for NCAA events.
Fresno State returns to action Saturday, Oct. 15, at a show at UC Davis.
