Dogs Place Second at Stanford Invitational

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bulldog equestrian team placed second, reserve team champion, at the Stanford Invitational over the weekend. The host Cardinal won the show that included nine teams from the west.
Several dogs performed well in the show during Sunday's competition. Shannon Ragsdale earned the reserve high point rider on Sunday after a first place finish in intermediate flat and she placed fourth in novice fences. Kasey MacFarlane earned second in novice flat and Amy Simmons won the open flat.
Several Bulldogs had exceptional performances over on Saturday, led by Becky Legris, who won the novice fences class in just her second time competing in that event.
Dukes continues to have an excellent year with her third consecutive first place finish in the novice equitation over the flat on Saturday.
Amy Simmons placed second in the open fences and Morgan McDonald was second in open flat.
"This was a good weekend," said head coach Becky Malmo. "Stanford was very tough and had a huge home field advantage but we has some very good performances overall."
