Tip-Off
The final game of a four-game homestand takes place Saturday afternoon when Fresno State (5-3) hosts Arizona (4-3). The Bulldogs saw their season-high three-game winning streak come to an end on Thursday night as No. 10 Arizona State posted a 68-52 victory. The loss was Fresno State's first of the year at home and snapped a nine-game Save Mart Center winning streak that dated back to last season. Now the Bulldogs look to get back on track against the Wildcats, a team that reached the NCAA Tournament last year and entered the week ranked 28th overall in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll.

Swearengin, Wilson Certified To Play
Fresno State women's basketball head coach Adrian Wiggins has announced that senior guard Mirenda Swearengin and sophomore guard Tierre Wilson have been certified to play and both student-athletes will be available for Saturday's game against Arizona. Swearengin and Wilson were ruled academically ineligible for the fall semester back on Aug. 30, missing the Bulldog's first eight games of the year. Both players have been practicing with the team since the start of the fall semester. Swearengin was a key contributor for Fresno State last year, starting all but one game at the point guard position while leading the Bulldogs to their sixth 20-win season in school history and an appearance in the Postseason WNIT. Swearengin was third on the club in scoring with 10.5 ppg and led the team in assists (4.1 ppg), three-pointers (41) and steals (64). She was also named to the WAC All-Tournament team, averaging 21 ppg while pulling down 10 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists. Wilson was one of the Bulldog's most valuable reserves in 2004-05, providing the Bulldogs with a lift off the bench. In 24 games, Wilson averaged 5.3 ppg and added 3.3 rpg. She ranked fourth on the squad in three-pointers with 15.
Saturday's Featured Promotion
For Saturday's game against Arizona, Fresno State will celebrate Military Appreciation Day. Individuals showing their military ID will receive $2 off any reserved or general admission ticket. Limit four per military ID.
Scouting Arizona
Arizona is coming off a 20-12 season that included a first-round victory in the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats currently stand at 4-3 overall, following a 92-67 road loss to No. 8 Maryland last weekend. Arizona has flirted with the national rankings in the early going, receiving votes in both polls while trying to crack the top-25. Similar to the Bulldogs, the Wildcats opened the year with back-to-back victories before dropping two in a row. The Wildcats are averaging 72.0 ppg and allowing 66.4. Arizona's two-game California road trip concludes on Monday night with a game at UC Santa Barbara. The Wildcats are led by: Natalie Jones (17.9 ppg, 5.3 rpg) and Joy Hollingsworth (15.1 ppg, 5.7 rpg). Head coach Joan Bonvicini begins her 15th year at the helm.
