BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Jermaine Blackburn scored a career-high 26 points and Coby Karl added 15 to lead Boise State to an 82-68 victory over Fresno State Saturday.
Boise State (10-14, 4-9 WAC) outscored the Bulldogs 13-3 in the final 4:43 to break a five-game conference losing skid.
Fresno State (13-9, 7-6), which never led after the opening minutes, was paced by JaVance Coleman with 21 points, while Chris Berry added 14.
Boise State led 38-29 at halftime, but the Bulldogs narrowed that advantage to 69-65 with 4:43 left on a field goal by Mustafa Al-Sayyad and two free throws by Coleman.
But Karl answered with seven points in the final three minutes to save the Boise State victory. Karl also had a career-high eight assists.
Al-Sayyad, who entered the game as conference leader in blocked shots and second in field-goal percentage, spent much of it on the bench in early foul trouble. He finished with eight points and nine rebounds.
The game was yet another example of Fresno State's defensive troubles of late. Boise State shot 55.2 percent, the third opponent in the last four games to make at least 50 percent of their shots against the Bulldogs.
Fresno State also committed 18 turnovers and made only 39.7 percent from the floor against a Bronco team last in the WAC in scoring defense.
